ClientSpot makes it easier to track time and manage projects. The application allows users to build easy time reports, export accounting details for invoices and provides overviews of budgets across multiple projects. Users can also collaborate with a team or partner on projects through ClientSpot. The data is kept secure so only those given access can view it. Users can also share files, manage calendars online and monitor task deadlines. Conversation tracking tools lets the user reply to messages directly through the project area. Users can also reply via email if they prefer. ClientSpot includes a built in search function that enables the user to search for tasks, files, comments and other criteria across all of their projects. Users can also manage sales leads and import their client data to ClientSpot.

ClientSpot was created by Extreme Planner Software. Extreme Planner was founded in November of 2004. Based out of San Diego, California, the company maintains two main products. One being ClientSpot and the other Extreme Planner.

ClientSpot provides users with a number of ways to stay on top of projects, tasks and time. The application offers many of the same features that similar solutions already boast. The design and organization of ClientSpot might make it a more appealing option for some users. The dashboard provides the user with an overview of everything, including a mini calendar, recent comments feed and active tasks list.

The ClientSpot website welcomes users with a professional orange and blue color scheme. The white background works well against vibrant icons and the effective layout of the site’s design. The application itself presets a great deal of information in each area. Despite the quantity of data, the user does not feel intimidated because ClientSpot keeps everything well organized using feeds, calendars, lists and other practical organizational tools.

Visitors can sign up for a ClientSpot membership by clicking the grey “Sign Up” tab in the upper, right hand corner of the homepage. The user is asked to provide a desired ClientSpot URL, account name, first and last name, email address and password. The user is also asked to check the terms of service and privacy policy agreement box at the bottom of the from. The form registers the user and signs them up for a 30 day free trial of ClientSpot.

ClientSpot offers its users five membership plans to choose from. The first is the Basic membership which costs around $15 per month and includes up to 10 users, 10 projects, 500 MBs of storage space, 10 data bases, SSL encryption and email integration. The Standard plan costs just under $30 per month and includes unlimited users, up to 25 projects, 2 GBs of storage and 25 data bases. The Silver plan costs around $50 per month and upgrades to include 75 projects, 5 GBs of storage space and 75 data bases. The Gold plan costs around $100 per month and includes up to 200 projects, 10 GBs of file storage and 200 data bases. The Platinum membership costs around $150 per month and includes unlimited projects, 20 GBs of file storage and 500 data bases.
